Your music is awesome, man. Your voice helps make it, sort of dreary which helps emphasize the cynical yet somewhat hopeful lyrics in your songs. I don't know why people don't understand that. Most of the music I listen to is quite mainstream and from fairly big artists of the past, but I've got all your music downloaded on my iTunes, and each song has dozens of plays. You are an artist, keep doing what you're doing. Also, posting on /b/ will only give you negative attention as they don't like advertising, but I guess all publicity is good publicity.

Hey .. some people just don't dig my voice. I recommend to show it to your friends and see what their reaction is. I deliberately avoid compression and other modern, over-used production techniques as an artistic statement.
